Healthy Hot Chocolate Alternative- for divine duvet days

What to do on those days when you just can’t be bothered…

Just popping in here quickly to share this recipe which I have been perfecting over the past 6 months!

Divine Duvet Days

For those of you who have been following my FitAt 40 journey on Instagram, you’ll have seen the transformation my body has been taking since turning 40 in August 2021. I am also being devoted to what my body wants and needs food-wise and found a new love for coconut milk mixed with cocoa.

Dark chocolate itself is a great source of fibre and when the powder is mixed with some coconut milk it really does hit the right spot for those divine duvet days.

Below is my yummy recipe for Hot CocoLatte

Half a teaspoon of cocoa or if you want it very strong one whole teaspoon

200 grams of coconut milk

Splash of cream or for vegans dash of oat or almond milk

Now I have a secret weapon which is a Nespresso frother that warms the milk up and makes it super latte style.

You can of course warm the milk up in a saucepan why I love this machine though is because it makes it much more efficient and sustainable in the long run.

Here is what to do

Either use the machine to froth or warm milk up in the pan

Then add the cocoa to a big mug and pour in a small amount of the milk and mix the chocolate powder until it is thick now add the rest of the milk

I sometimes drop in 5 grams of dark chocolate too and let it melt as I sip away and love to sprinkle over some cinnamon powder as it’s so good for you too!
