3 simple ways - To cultivate some "divine me'' time today.

Hello darling soul,

I am writing to you from my garden and drinking a cup of black tea in my favourite cup with gold spots on a white background and“I woke up like this” in black wonky writing. I am writing because for my 40th birthday gift to myself I signed a publishing deal with the wonderful and magical women Nicola Humber.  (You can read more about why I have decided to write a book in 2020 in my latest instagram post here.)

I am sitting here listening to the rustling of leaves with my newly brought botanical patterned Kimono, sparkly fit flops and just feeling content. It is a Sunday afternoon. And for 2 hours every Sunday I offer myself “divine me time.”

Divine me time summed up in a few words

Sumptuous rapture of solitude flowing through my veins and settling at my toes. A time for me to be me. And do whatever I want to do for me.

It’s divine!

Here are 3 simple ways you can cultivate some divine me time today.

  1. Go to the kettle. Switch it on. Make a cup of tea. Then sip it really slowly. Savouring every sip. The go on with your day.

  2. Find an old magazine. Find one picture which makes your insides sing. Cut it out. Place it somewhere you will notice it each day. As it catches your eye capture the feeling you get inside. Close your eyes and allow this great feeling to fill the whole of your body from the tips of your toes to the crown of your head. Open your eyes. Move into your day with this feeling settled in you.

  3. Light a candle. Go on with your day. As you are in the house know that the candle is burning and emitting beautiful scents. As you walk back in to the room notice that smell. Notice how the candle just simply resonates out with its gentle vibe. Swallow up this vibe by softly noticing the glow of the candle. Receiving the soft teachings of its gentle yet vibrant glow.
