5 steps for the perfect winter skin care routine

Without a regular skin care routine, skin is susceptible to damage, skin diseases and early signs of aging so it’s important to maintain a skin care routine that contains all of the ingredients you need to maintain healthy skin and a happy mind.


Here are Michal’s 5 steps for the perfect skin care routine:


Soak


Not only is having a good long soak in the bath with magnesium bath salts incredibly relaxing and good for aching muscles but it is also highly effective at improving skin hydration and great for skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.


Exfoliate


Your body’s natural ability to shed dead skin cells slows down the older you get so it’s really important to take the time to exfoliate the skin at least once a week to get rid of the buildup of dead skin cells which can lead to dull looking skin. Use a body scrub, exfoliating gloves or dry body brush. 


Cleanse


Keep your skin clean and healthy by cleansing with an organic body wash to remove dirt without the harmful toxins and chemicals found in synthetic products. We love products which contains the soothing blend of nourishing natural botanicals which refresh the skin.


Moisturise


After you get out of the bath or shower pat your body dry with a towel and apply your moisturiser to lock in moisture, keeping the skin hydrated and feeling super soft. Soothe your body with a balancing body cream that leaves the skin smooth, supple and fragrant. 



Protect


Protect your skin by applying an SPF to your face and body every day. As well as protecting from cancer it is also the most effective way to prevent premature wrinkles. Most of us are good at applying sunscreen when the sun is shining but roughly 80% of UV rays penetrate through clouds so it's important to wear SPF even if it's cloudy outside.
